In partnership with Macar Developments Ltd, SBC negotiated a Land, Planning, Design & Build package deal with P A Housing Association. Following a successful planning application, permission was granted for the construction of 47 apartments for affordable rent and 9 basement parking bays.
The Scheme has been expertly designed by our Architects to utilise the slope of the site to form car parking,plant and storage areas below ground yet directly accessible from the curb side in the adjacent highway. The accommodation follows a stepped approached to ensure that maximum density can be achieved whilst maintaining the looks and feel of the leafy street scene. Following the receipt of planning permission SBC and the design team have worked to complete the remaining design and working drawings to enable construction to commence Summer 2020.
The project is located on a sloping site, special consideration has been given to sequence of build, construction methods and logistical planning. The project is further impacted by 3 other major developments within 300m. Consideration and communication with the other near construction operations has been key to enabling the works to commence and will be key to the seamless and efficient delivery of all the schemes in the local area whilst creating minimum inconvenience to the local area.
